just a warning to everybody who has steam based games.
VAC DOES give false positives. its confirmed now !
For whole year i only played svencoop mod for half-life. I didn't even had anything running with steam..
well exept msn, winamp, firewall and cmd sometimes.
I'm pretty sure that VAC gave false positive because i blocked it from communicating with my system.
When i entered game then steam wanted to communicate with ''csrss.exe'' (process) .. but i denyd it.
after blocking it for like 2 weeks ... i got banned by VAC. So my guess is that it had something to do with VAC scans .. so when you block it .. then VAC detects it as some unknown hack.
I also blocked this stupid ''gameoverlayul.exe'' from connecting into internet. I have no idea WTF is it .. or what does it do. but i doubt that it was cuz of that .. cuz i always blocked it. i got banned after i blocked steam from communicating with system.
just in case i mention that ... sometimes i also had some other programs running (cmd based programs)
also .. im using MCW - monitor calibration wizard. game is too dark .. and i cant bother to turn brightness up on monitor...so i just use tool for that. but ive used it for long time .. so i also doubt that this gave false positive. im still guessing its because i blocked this stupid steam from communicating with system.
Ill ask from steam if it can give false positive and post reply here.
